British Airways published an environmental policy in 1990 and have since implemented a number of programs to reduce their impact on the environment, resulting in several environmental awards. Some of their achievements include: a decrease in the volume and incidences of fuel jettisoned, a dramatic reduction in the amount of solid waste produced, a decrease in ground energy consumption, and ongoing environmental training for managers. |
